A Single Tradition

Times and cultures have given different shapes to their respective religious traditions. But they drink from the same source. They are forms of a single Tradition.

When we go drinking to a fountain,
each person brings their own glass, bowl, cup or jar.

Water –a paradigm of adaptability-,
adopts the shape of each container;
but it is the same water and
of the same fountain.

No one can say that
water is better in their vessel.
It is the same water and
of the same fountain.

Similarly,
times and cultures
have given different shapes
to their respective religious traditions.
But they drink from the same source.
They are forms of a single Tradition.

No one can actually say that their form
is the most authentic or superior.
It is better not to worry about the differences
and simply drink to appease the thirst.

Even better,
realize that no containers are needed.
We can always collect water
with our own hands,
or drink straight from the gush.

One Tradition.
One fountain.
Do you know where to find it?

Exactly!
In your Heart, the Only Heart.
The Heart of LIFE.
