If you have not already done so, please read first, in this order, Samnidhi and Advaita.
Have you done it? Then let’s continue.
Running the risk of sounding foolish or like a shameless simpleton who doesn’t know what he’s talking about, and that, as a consequence, everyone will run away with no desire to return, I dare say—honestly—that what you have just seen is the highest expression of what you will find in this blog. Nothing more can be added to it.
From here on, everything will be approximations, more or less successful attempts to point to What Is, while having to deal with the limitations of language and written communication.
Because what can be said about the ineffable? Whatever It Is, It simply Is. No adjective suits It. No word reaches It. On the contrary, every attempt to name or describe It only limits and relativizes It.
If nothing can be said, it is better to remain silent and let silence speak. The silence of the void that contains every possibility. The silence that expresses the Presence (Samnidhi) of the Ineffable, the Nondual Nature of What Is.
Nondual Nature (Advaita), because nothing can exist or even be imagined outside of What Is. What Is gives existence to every manifestation. There are not two natures. Only One.
Consequently, the intimate nature of every phenomenal manifestation (mine as well) can be none other than the very Nature of What Is.
Advaita Samnidhi (Nondual Presence) is how Advaitananda Vyasa Goe names the realisation of the Nondual Nature of LIFE1. The recognition of the non-separation between individuality and Totality. The intimate realisation of what we truly are.
Perhaps it is best not to add further explanations now, as they would only dilute the nakedness and forcefulness of what is being pointed to. I hope that the following articles will naturally provide elements that help understanding.
But I suggest that you revisit Samnidhi and Advaita from time to time—as often as needed—so as not to lose sight of what the purpose is, so to speak.
Mysteriously, it will be realised when understanding is no longer needed.
- Advaitananda equates LIFE —written in capital letters— with What Is, in order to bring the experience of what we are closer. ↩︎
